Ella

Ella has one of the most spectacular view in Uva., the follows the foothills covered with woodland from the village, the way seems barred by an apparently impassable valley. There is an extraordinary sight, a precipe plunging 900 m into the abyss. The Ella Gap giving a breathtaking view over 100 km of the rolling hills which stretch into the distance of the Indian Ocean.

The area has a rich bio-diversity dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna and surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. Attractions are 2000 years old rock temple of Dova, Ella rock – a look out point Little Adam’s Peak -pyramid Nine Arch Bridge and some more.
